Thank you for clicking through to my site.
My name is Robynne and I'm a full-time Twitch streamer, cosplayer and artist. I've been surrounded by games roughly since the PS1 was released, and I've been unable to escape. Ever.
I studied Japanese Studies at University, a mix of both language and culture, and lived and studied in Nagoya for 11 months as part of my course.
More info about me and Japan in the F.A.Q below!
I started streaming 3rd Jan 2016, and was partnered 29th November of the same year.
How old are you?
I’m 25 years old! My birthday is July 10th 1993.
Where are you from? What is your accent?
I am from South England. My accent may sound a little posher because my mum made me pronounce my T’s.
NO ‘WA’ER’ FROM ME!!
Do you have a boyfriend?
I do. I have been in a relationship for 5+ years with Jason (a.k.a Shaddow_Man).
Honestly my favourite anime changes depending on my mood. Some old classic favourites are Skip Beat!, Cardcaptor Sakura, RE:Zero, Ancient Magus’ Bride, My Hero Academia, and others!
What games do you usually play?
I'm a variety streamer, which means I play a combination of new games and older games, as well as art. If I'm struggling to find any new games to play I often play Final Fantasy XIV, or shooters such as Overwatch or Apex Legends.
What are your favourites games?
Final Fantasy X really introduced me in to gaming, and since then I've played and absolutely loved Persona 3, The Witcher 3, and NieR:Automata. My favourite MMO is Final Fantasy XIV, on which I have more hours than I care to admit.
How long have you been drawing for?
Same as most people, I’ve been drawing on and off my whole life. But in terms of education I just did a regular ART GCSE between the ages of 16-18, and I only started taking art seriously July 2018.
Do you live in Japan?
Not anymore. I lived there from September 2016 to August 2017. I lived in Nagoya and studied at Nagoya University.
When I was 9ish my brother showed me the trailer for Final Fantasy X-2, and the music was the Japanese version of Real Emotion by Koda Kumi. After that I listened to nothing but Japanese music, and eventually that interest bled into Japanese Anime, Manga, Culture, Fashion, etc.
What do you study?
My University Major was Japanese Studies. That was mainly studying the language but also other topics like Culture and History.
Is Japanese hard?
Like any language, Japanese has both hard point and easy points. Once you get over the language being written in Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji, the basic grammar is pretty simple, and basic conversation is pretty easy to learn. But then, once you get into more complex emotions, it gets as complex as any other language.
How’s Japanese food?
I don’t actually like fish apart from tinned Tuna, so a lot of the more “Japanese food” that people like, Sashimi, etc, I don’t eat. I do however love Japanese curry, Nikuman, and Gyoza (but they’re all Japanese versions of other foreign foods …. Welp).
I’m travelling to Japan. Where should I go?
Honestly I’ve only been to places that are already reccomended. Check out some good lists here.
If you love the city atmosphere - Tokyo
If you’re a history nerd, depending on your preferred Era - Kyoto (oldie oldie) or Hiroshima (WW2 history).
